After losing out on Messi, the Barcelona management refuse to let another big target slip through their fingers, like Ilkay Gundogan. Their plan is to sign him now, according to 'Mundo Deportivo' and announce it after the Champions League final.

Gundogan is a hot prospect right now. The City midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of June, is a target for Barcelona, Dortmund, Al Ittihad and PSG, among others. When his contract with the English side is up, he will be free to go to whichever club he chooses. He'll be one of the summers biggest bargains.
It seems like the party most keen on signing him is Barcelona. According to 'Mundo Deportivo', the club's desire to bring over the German have only increased since Messi announced he would not be returning to the Camp Nou. The Catalan club's board now want to move fast and solidify Gundogan's arrival as soon as possible.
Barcelona reportedly have the player's word, which would see him enter a three-year contract, but the club is fed up. They want his signiture and they want it now.
The Catalan club has the space on their wage bill to sign Gundogan, which takes care of one possible issue the player could have. And not only are they thinking about his signing, they have already drawn up the plan for his presentation.
The idea is to make it official after the Champions League final between City and Inter on Saturday and welcome him as he deserves immediately after.
Next week, Gundogan will be called up to the German squad. He will play for his national team against Ukraine, Poland and Colombia. The Catalans are hoping to get him onside before then.
