Barcelona to negotiate Busquets' renewal in February

Barcelona have yet to renew Sergio Busquets. The Spanish team will renew his contract but with a salary drop. Moreover, the new contract will expire in January, as the MLS starts in that month.
According to 'Sport', the Spain international has several offers from clubs in the United States but it will be in January when they will meet to negotiate his signing.
Meanwhile, the Spanish board will talk to him in February about renewing his contract. The meeting will decide the future of a player who is key to Barca's success.
Nevertheless, the Catalan team will not be able to maintain their current salary due to their financial problems.
