Barcelona are waiting for Sergio Busquets to decide what he is going to do next. In response to that, the Catalan side are preparing for three possible scenarios.

Last week, Sergio Busquets announced his retirement from the Spain national side. Now he is back in Barcelona, the player has only got a few months left before his contract is up at the Catalan side.
However, it is not yet known exactly what he will do with his future. The 'Cule' manager Xavi insisted that he was staying, which gave the midfielder doubts.
The player had agreed to leave with club president Joan Laporta, which is what he will do when it is certain he is no longer going to stay. In fact, the decision should be between this week and the next, according to 'Marca'.
At the moment, Barcelona and Busquets are in a constant tug of war. He has supposedly already decided to leave the La Liga giants, with his next club being in the MLS.
With Gerard Pique's departure, when he announced he would be retiring from football before the World Cup, Barca only reduced their wage bill by €5 million - they are still in the negative.
Despite it not being viable for him to leave this January, the Catalan club have not ruled it out. This first option would be the most unlikely, as the player wants to end the season as a Barca player.
Secondly, the midfielder could be on his way to the MLS as a free agent. For now, this is the most feasible option, which has all the signs of it going ahead, according to Catalonian media.
Thirdly from Barcelona, they are studying the possibility of proposing this to Busquets: extend his contract for a year and a half and go to the MLS next winter.
What is more, a contract extension would be with a lower wage that what he is on at the moment, which would help clear up Barcelona's books. That is supposedly what Xavi Hernandez himself, who still wants him.
