Pep Guardiola was delighted with Bernardo Silva's performance in Manchester City's 6-1 win over Bournemouth, in which the Portuguese scored a brace.
"He's an extraordinary player and scored two great goals. The movement on the second goal reminded me of Messi. Messi has done it many times. Everyone is happy to have him here," he told the 'BBC'.
This is the second time in a week that the Spanish coach has praised his midfielder. "He's a player who has gone beyond the limits of excellence... We're in love with him! He doesn't have big cars... He's humble and everyone in the dressing room loves him. We were afraid of losing him (this summer). He's irreplaceable," he said after the Manchester derby.
After an excellent 2022-23 season, Bernardo Silva finished ninth in the 2023 Ballon d'Or. A fine reward.
