Barcelona are impatiently awaiting the final decision of Sergio Busquets, whose contract expires on 30th June. The midfielder has not yet confirmed whether he will remain at the Catalan giants or if he will start a new journey outside Spain.
According to 'AS', the South Africa 2010 World Cup winner could announce his decision once the 'Cules' are mathematically crowned champions of La Liga, which could happen after the derby against Espanyol.
The 'Cules' only need two points to lift another league title and after the match, the decision could be announced. The player has a renewal offer from the club to continue for another year with the option of an additional year.
However, a substantial pay cut is included: he would go from 14 million euros gross to just over 7 million euros. A less attractive option financially than others he has been considering for months, one from Inter Miami to join the MLS and another from Saudi Arabia.
