City or Barca? Gundogan sets ultimatum for decision on future

Ilkay Gundogan will never forget the 2022/23 season. The German managed to lift a Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup treble in a Manchester City shirt. Now the 32-year-old will have to decide his future.
His contract with the English club expires at the end of June and he has two options for his future. He could either renew his contract to continue playing at the Etihad Stadium or join Barcelona to play in La Liga.
According to 'Sky Sports', the midfielder has set an ultimatum as he will announce his decision next Sunday. Moreover, the same media outlet reports that the Catalan giants are optimistic that Gundogan will decide to move to Spain.
Nevertheless, Arsenal could be meddling in Barcelona's plans as they are also interested in securing the his services. Mikel Arteta already knows the player and negotiations could change.
The Catalan side's board are still working on reducing their wage bill in order to register and sign new players for next season.
