In recent hours, 'L'Equipe' reported a new and intriguing deal from Barcelona for Lionel Messi. According to the French newspaper, the Argentine would sign for Inter Miami and would immediately go on loan to the Spanish side.
Faced with the lack of response from La Liga on their viability plan, Barca are not thought to be ruling out the possibility to link-up with the American club in order to get the Argentine in, even if it is just on loan for one season.
However, according to 'Cadena SER', the Inter Miami board have not received any news from Barcelona about a hypothetical deal for Messi. The North American side are dreaming of getting him, but have had no contact with the Catalan side.
David Beckham's side have not received any request from Barca, meaning recent reports from 'L'Equipe' would be effectively ruled out.
Messi' contract with PSG is up mid-2023, and for now he has not come to any deal to renew. With that in mind, the player himself thought to have put a time limit of ten days for Barcelona to give him a formal offer.
If he does not return to the Spanish side, his entourage are not ruling out offers from Saudi Arabia or the United States, who are looking to convince him with their bulging wallets.
For now, Messi's future is up in the air. The link between Barcelona and Inter Miami seems improbable, but anything can happen when there is just a month left until the player is a free agent.
