Former Liverpool's Jamie Carragher hits out at Man City boss Pep Guardiola

Former Liverpool player Jamie Carragher has responded fiercely to the words of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, who said that some pundits like him knew how difficult it was to win a Premier League title because they had never done it in their entire careers.

Pep Guardiola told a press conference ahead of Manchester City's game against Aston Villa on Tuesday that he believes his players will win an unprecedented fourth Premier League title.
The Spanish coach also stressed how difficult it is to win the domestic competition, citing the likes of Micah Richards, Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher. The latter, who have never won it, did not take it well and has responded harshly to the Cityzens manager's words.
The former Liverpool player believes that he would surely have won the domestic competition if he had been at a club owned by a nation-state, clearly attacking the Mancunian club and implying that if Guardiola has succeeded it has been because of the financial backing he has been given by the club.
"I think I'd have probably won one if Liverpool were owned by a nation state, and pushed the rules so far that the PL charged us 115 times," he tweeted. "I was actually praising Pep's team after the game on Sunday," he added with a laughing face emoji.
