It's a full stop for Haaland this 2023. The Norwegian, who has a bone stress injury in his foot, will not play the last two games of the season against Everton and Sheffield United, which is terrible news for Pep Guardiola's side.
The Spanish manager spoke to 'Amazon Prime' ahead of the clash against the Toffees at Goodison Park and confirmed that we won't see Haaland again until 2024.
"Haaland is feeling better, but he hasn't done a single training session with us. Unfortunately, December is very congested with so many games and January as well. Hopefully he can come back to us in January."
The striker will have to watch his teammates from the sidelines, something very unusual for a player who has not played since 6th December, in Manchester City's 1-0 defeat away to Aston Villa.
Guardiola spoke about the condition of Kevin De Bruyne, who has been absent since the start of the Premier League with a hamstring problem. "He will be back very soon. He trained with us last week, but he is a bit tired because he is training hard. He is very important for us, as is Erling," he said.
