Paris Saint-Germain, with sporting director Luis Campos at the helm, are compiling names for next season. According to 'Le Parisien', the Parisians' plan is to sign Bernardo Silva from City in order to cover the likely gap left by a Messi departure.
In fact, the Portuguese international spoke to 'France Football' and defended the French league: "People criticise the level of Ligue 1 and that PSG are the only big side who know football. It's harder to play in France than in England".
"It's a more physical league, I took a while for while to adjust to English football. I had to get used to it", the ex-Monaco man said. Bernardo played in the French top flight for three seasons, giving a great showcase.
"Ligue 1 is a competitive league. Of course, PSG with the money they have are going to win more than the other sides. But if you take a look at Monaco, Lille, Lyon and Marseille, they're good sides with young talent", he summarised,
The French club's aim is to sign Bernardo Silva this summer. What is more, the club don't see anything wrong with his €80 million release clause for the player.
