Leicester face a summer of huge change, after being relegated from the Premier League. Several of their biggest stars, and biggest earners, were pegged for an exit as soon as the season was over.
'The Athletic' report that the next departure from the Foxes will be James Maddison. The midfielder has only a year left on his contract in Leicester, and the club were hoping for a deal around £60 million (~€70 million) for the England international.
However, the outlet reports that they have accepted an offer from Tottenham Hotspur for about £40 million, plus around another £5 million in add-ons.
He is scheduled for a medical with the London club on Wednesday, and the 26-year-old is set to join Ange Postecoglou's side imminently. Despite scoring 10 goals and providing nine assists for Leicester in 2022-23, Maddison was unable to stop his team, Premier League winners in 2016-17, from facing the drop.
