Man City prepare new contract for Foden

Phil Foden is the man of the moment. The 23-year-old scored a double in the Manchester derby that will go down in history but it was not his only achievement of the campaign.
The 23-year-old has scored 18 goals and provided nine assists in 41 competitive appearances this season, some of them in crucial games for the Sky Blues.
As a result, the Manchester City board are preparing a new contract for him as a reward for his superb performances in recent matches. The Englishman could become one of the highest-paid players in Pep Guardiola's squad.
Foden's current contract expires in 2027 but the English club wants to keep him for several more seasons. He has been playing in City colours since 2016, both in the youth ranks and in the first team.
