Man City reach FA Cup semi-finals with victory over Newcastle

Manchester City started the game going forward against a Newcastle side that pressed Guardiola's team with constant intensity. In the 12th minute, Bernardo Silva's shot hit Willock and opened the scoring. In the 31st minute again Silva's effort hit Botman for the second of the match. From then on, Guardiola's side kept a Newcastle side at bay who created little threat to Stefan Ortega's goal in Ederson's place through injury. Man City, two up in the second half, slowed down the pace of the game and simply dominated possession.
