Major League Soccer wants to sign Lionel Messi to retire there. In fact, according to 'Sport', the board have created a new rule to be able to sign him.
The same media outlet reports that all MLS teams will pay Messi's salary in the United States as long as he signs for a team in the league. If the Argentinian star were to join Inter Miami, the other teams would also have to pay his salary to comply with the financial rules.
MLS thinks that this will increase the revenues of all the teams due to advertising and merchandising.
Messi's current contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season and he has not yet reached an agreement to renew it. As a result, his future is uncertain and it is not known if he will return to Barcelona or if he will have to move to the United States.
