The Uruguayan striker has signed a contract running until June 2028, becoming the latest high-profile name to head to Riyadh in what continues to be an aggressive recruitment drive by the Saudi club.
Nunez arrived at Anfield from Benfica in 2022 for an initial €75 million (£65m), but ultimately struggled to justify the hefty price tag.
Despite flashes of promise, he managed 40 goals in 143 appearances and gradually fell down the pecking order under both Jurgen Klopp and new manager Arne Slot.
His playing time was expected to diminish further following Liverpool's €300 million summer spree, which saw the arrivals of Hugo Ekitike, Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong.
Al Hilal moved quickly to secure the 26-year-old's signature after positive talks last week, with both parties finalising contract terms earlier this week.
The Saudi outfit, coached by former Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi, view Nunez as a key addition to a squad already boasting international stars such as Ruben Neves, Joao Cancelo, Kalidou Koulibaly and Aleksandar Mitrovic.
His arrival adds further firepower to a Hilal side that reached the quarter-finals of the most recent FIFA Club World Cup after a memorable victory over Manchester City.
The club will be hoping the Uruguayan can rediscover his best form in Saudi Arabia as they push for domestic dominance and continental silverware.
