Son opens the scoring, injured Gakpo restarts the match

What an intense first half at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs hosted Liverpool to continue their good run in the Premier League but Jurgen Klopp's men are not making it easy for them.
Curtis Jones was sent off after receiving a straight red card. Referee Simon Hooper initially showed him a yellow card for a hard tackle on Yves Bissouma.
However, the VAR decided to review his foul as it seemed too aggressive. The referee decided to withdraw the yellow card to show him a straight red card. Almost ten minutes later, the Reds had the lead thanks to a Luis Diaz opener but it was disallowed for offside.
Tottenham striker Son Heung-min broke the deadlock in the 36th minute after a superb pass from Richarlison but Cody Gakpo scored the equaliser from close range to restart the game. But the striker did not fare as well as he had hoped as he was injured and was replaced at half-time.
