Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur had to be replaced in the 32nd minute in his side's 1-2 defeat to Aston Villa in Sunday's Premier League matchday 13 fixture.
The extent of his injury is still uncertain but his manager Ange Postecoglou provided an update on his injury at Sunday's post-match press conference.
"I was disappointed to lose him because he started the game so well, you can see his quality, and that’s a reason we got such a foothold in the game. With him coming back from a serious injury, you are concerned about it.
"From what I understand, it’s his ankle rather than his knee, but it’s not what we need right now, another injury, but that’s what we’re going through," Postecoglou told reporters.
