"3 months at Barca felt like 10 years": Aguero

Sergio Aguero might be best known as an icon of Manchester City, after sporting their jersey for a decade, but before he retired he spent time with Barcelona in the 2021-22 season.
Speaking to 'Mundo Deportivo', the now-retired Argentinian international reflected on his brief spell with the Catalans, thinking of it as a very positive time of his life.
"I was in Barcelona for three months but I promise you it felt like I was there for 10 years, like with City because the affection the people of Barcelona gave me was something very different to all the other clubs I was at", he began.
"That's why I have a special fondness for Barcelona, even though I already liked Barcelona, because obviously it's where Leo (Messi), or rather my friend played and I always wanted Barca to win, except against us, even though they beat us several times", he continued.
He gave a special mention to the club's fans who surprised him a lot when he arrived: "When I came here, the truth is the city and everything surprised me, the people .. very young fans as well as older ones, even 85, 90 year old grannies who were Barcelona fanatics, which surprised me a lot ... the dedication they have for the club".
