Barcelona negotiate against the clock to sign Julian Araujo on loan

Barcelona have been monitoring the LA Galaxy right-back, who he has a contract with until 2025. But it is not until know when the Catalans have gone after the 21 year-old Mexican international.
According to the cited media outlet, Barca are working against the clock to persuade the MLS side to loan out Julian Araujo with an option to buy.

Araujo, as a professional footballer, has only played in the USA. He came through the LA Galaxy academy and broke into the first team in the 2018-19 season at the age of just 8. Since then, he has played 109 competitive matches, he has scored two goals and provided 14 assists.
So far this season in the MLS, the Mexico international has played a total of 40 competitive matches, 35 of them as a starter and these are his best stats throughout his career as a professional. That has led to clubs across the world showing interest in his signing.
