Barcelona negotiate with Busquets after January

Now that the transfer window is closed, Barcelona have started planning for next season, at least off the field. The main thing is to tie down the players they want to keep.
One of the those whose contract ends at the end of the season is Sergio Busquets. The midfielder has still not renewed at the Catalan side and the MLS is edging ever closer on the Spaniard's horizon.
'Sport' explained that once the January window is shut, Barcelona are now focusing on renewing their captain. They will really get all hands to the pump in the next few weekd.
The club are optimistic of keeping their player, more so than they were a few weeks ago. Having said that, Barca will be asking Busquets to take a considerable pay cut.
Barcelona think the midfielder staying is key, as if they do not manager to keep him, they will be going into summer which will be even harder for the side.
