FA make decision on referee Simon Hooper after controversial blunder against Man City

Simon Hooper will not face any punishment despite his late error against Manchester City in the Sky Blues' draw with Tottenham on Sunday.

The English referee provoked the fury of the Sky Blues players when he inexplicably stopped the game to award the home side a free-kick when Grealish was clean through on goal.
Both Haaland, who quoted a tweet with video of the referee's poor decision, and Guardiola, who avoided blaming the referee for the equaliser, were pretty upset with the Simon Hooper's decision.
Many people were thinking that Hooper would be suspended for the Liverpool-Sheffield United match he was due to referee in the corresponding midweek fixture, but that has not been the case.
The FA and PGMOL consider the referee's decision to be simply "human error" and so he will referee the Reds on Wednesday as originally planned.
