Messi's renewal stalls and will drag on until end of season

After struggling to adapt during his first year in Paris, Lionel Messi managed to adapt to life at PSG after very many years at Barcelona. Messi has managed to win the World Cup for Argentina as a PSG player and he will never forget that.
Despite admitting he will struggle to play at the next World Cup, he wants to keep playing for Argentina for now. In his latest interview with 'Ole', the Argentina capitain confirmed that the 2026 World Cup is still a long way away amd that he has a handful of games left for the national team.
The club which pay his salary are starting to lose patience because Messi has still to make a decision. The number 30 could not start negotiating with any club, but, according to information from 'Sports', the player will wait until the end of the season to decide whether to stay for an extra 12 months.
A reason for which the footballer has yet to extend his stay is a lack of connection with the PSG fans. The French media outlet also reveals that if Messi won the Champions League this season, he would leave Paris in the summer without thinking twice.
Rumours have started to emerge. One links him with a move to Inter Miami in the MLS while another option is to return to Barcelona. However, Messi is focussed on winning as many trophies as he can this season and then think about the future.
