'AS' have reported that Alvaro Morata is about to sign a new contract with Atletico Madrid. His current one ends in 2024, but the Madrid side may be able to convince him to stay 2 or 3 more seasons. Even though it would be a pay cut, the Spaniard would be willing to accept because he wants to stay at the side.

Juventus and Milan are following Alvaro Morata very closely. The striker is high up on both sides' lists but it seems that he is not considering returning to Italy.
According to 'AS', Morata could sign a new deal with Atletico very soon. The Madrid side are up for renewing his current deal, which runs out in 2024, for another two or three seasons.
Despite it being a lower offer, the man from Madrid would be willing to accept it. According to the source, Morata wants to stay at Atletico despite interest he could get from other clubs and other leagues such as the MLS, or the Saudi League.
Atletico are Morata's priority, and his desires are exactly the same at the club's, meaning there should not be much time needed to agree terms. His renewal is practically done.
This is certainly one bit of news that could settle down the rumours after Morata said to 'Tuttosport' a few days ago: "If in summer I get certain offers then we'll see".
